DST INSPIRE Scholarship: DST INSPIRE Scholarship for Higher Education is a scholarship course presented by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) which is regulated by the Government of India. It is a scholarship plan that appears under Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE), a flagship course of DST. Intended for exemplary students commencing bachelor’s and master’s courses in Natural and Basic Sciences, DST INSPIRE Scholarship grants 10,000 scholarships each year. Under this Scholarship, each selected student gets INR 80,000 yearly for seeking any subject of Natural or Basic Sciences.

DST INSPIRE Scholarship Rewards

Under the DST INSPIRE Scholarship, each selected student receives a scholarship amount of INR 80,000 per year for the course of Science and Technology and persevere research as a career. DST INSPIRE Scholarship – Eligibility Criteria

To apply for DST INSPIRE Scholarship, the student should have qualified class 12th and seeking courses in Natural Sciences at the B.Sc. or Integrated M.Sc. level. Here is the complete information about the eligibility guidelines of this scholarship.

  • The student should come under the age group of 17-22 years.
  • The student should be among the top one percent of the victorious students in terms of marks obtained by them in class 12th board exam.
  • The student should be registered in courses of Natural and Basic Sciences at the BSc, BS, and Integrated MSc/MS level in the same year of passing class 12.
  • The students who are among the top 10,000 rankers in Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) IIT, top 20,000 rankers of AIEEE and have cleared CBSE-Medical (AIPTM) and have chosen to study Natural/Basic Sciences are eligible.
  • The students who are admitted to Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER), National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Basic Sciences (DAE-CBS) at the University of Mumbai for seeking courses in Natural/Basic Sciences leading to B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree are also eligible.
  • The students who are scholars of KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojna), National Talent Search Examination (NTSE), Olympiad Medallists and Jagadish Bose National Science Talent Search (JBNSTS) and are seeking courses in Natural/Basic Sciences leading to B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree are eligible.

DST INSPIRE Scholarship Application Process

The application forms for DST INSPIRE Scholarship for Higher Education are received online through the official website of the INSPIRE course. Below are the steps to be followed for the application procedure.

  • Students need to register first on the DST INSPIRE Scholarship portal. The students should enter their details such as name, gender, date of birth, email, password, eligibility norms and verification code for successful registration.
  • Students will receive the user ID and password on their designated email ID where they have to click on the activation link to activate their account.
  • Students should hold the scanned copies of all the needed documents as separate files before they start filling the application form.
  • Students should log in to the DST INSPIRE Scholarship portal using their username and password.
  • Now they should fill in all the items like personal details, enrolment data at B.Sc. and Integrated M.Sc. level, senior secondary educational details, national level competitive exam details, contact information in the scholarship application form.
  • Students also need to upload all the required documents during filling the application form.

DST INSPIRE Scholarship Selection Process

  • All the scholarship application forms sent by the potential INSPIRE scholars are evaluated based on the designated eligibility criteria. Based on this evaluation, a list of shortlisted candidates is prepared.
  • The list of shortlisted scholars will be declared on the online portal of DST INSPIRE.
  • The elected scholars require to download their temporary offer letter from the online portal.
  • The shortlisted scholars also need to upload the required documents on the INSPIRE portal within the detailed timeline for further evidence.
  • The selected scholars will get their scholarship rewards straight into their State Bank of India (SBI) bank account through DBT (Direct Bank Transfer).

DST INSPIRE Scholarship Renewal

  • To continue with the DST INSPIRE Scholarship in the succeeding years, INSPIRE scholars have to fulfil the criteria specified below.
  • The scholars applying for renewal of scholarship need to score at least 60% marks or 7.0 GPA on a 10.0-point scale in the annual exams each year (or two semesters).
  • If the candidates fails to score the required marks in their B.Sc/BS/Int. M.Sc/Int. MS exam, the scholarship for that academic year will get dropped. The scholarship is continued in the next academic year if the student’s educational performance is satisfying.
  • Terms and Conditions
  • Students need to follow specific terms and conditions to apply for this scholarship.
  • DST INSPIRE scholarship is bestowed to students for five years, starting from the 1st year B.Sc., BS, Integrated
  • M.Sc/MS or until the course is completed by students (whichever comes earlier).
  • Students should submit a completely filled application form else the form will be rejected.
  • Subjects such as Engineering, Medicine, Military Science, Defence Studies, Home Science, Geography,

  • The INSPIRE scholar should open a regular Savings Bank Account in any branch of the State Bank of India (SBI) only. The account should be in the name of the student and it should not be a joint account.
  • The shortlisted students should submit their year-wise performance report (signed by the Head of the Institution) and mark sheet of their BSc, BS, Int. MSc/MS course for the release of the scholarship. Head of the Institution refers to Vice-Chancellor/Registrar/Dean of Science in case of Universities and Principal/Vice-Principal/Proctor/Officer-in-Charge in case of colleges.
  • The Head of the Institution should mention in the performance report if the scholarship were continued or not in that academic year.
  • For the first time, the scholarship is released only after the approval of the performance report and mark sheet of 1st year B.Sc, BS, Int. M.Sc/MS. If the academic performance of the student is satisfactory, two years of scholarship, i.e., INR 1,20,000 is released during the student ’s 2nd year of B.Sc, BS, Int. M.Sc/MS.
  • Students availing any other scholarship from other sources are not eligible to receive this scholarship.

ICAI Scholarship for CA Students 2020 | Need and Merit Based Scholarships

ICAI Scholarship 2020: Get the details about the ICAI Scholarship for CA candidates 2019 (Merit and Need-based Scholarships). ICAI welcomes applications for the remuneration of Scholarships to the chosen candidates to be funded each year. The qualified candidates are required to apply in the designated Scholarship application.

The Board of Studies (BOS), Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) compensates several Scholarships to candidates, specifically, Merit, Merit-cum-Need based and Need-based and Weaker Sections two times a year. ICAI Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

If Candidates want to get off the scholarship, then they have to meet conditions for the reward of Scholarships. Aspirants shall be the enrolled candidates of Intermediate (IPC) or Final Course of ICAI.

Income certificate / Category certification is a necessity avail of the scholarship. Income Certificate to be presented on the letterhead of the Principal by the Student getting experience of Articleship or on the letterhead of any member of ICAI by the Student not pursuing Articleship.

ICAI Scholarship Application Procedure

All the candidates who come under the eligibility requirement can get financial assistance. The eligibility criteria state that the candidates must have a legitimate registration in the CA course/ currently pursuing articled/ industrial practice as per the CA regulations. The yearly income of parents must be less than 3 lakh from all sources of income.  All the candidates who need to avail of the scholarship must address the filled-up application form to the address specified in the notice before the last date, i.e., December 15, 2019.

ICAI Merit Scholarship

The candidates whose names appear at SerialNumber1 to 10 (in case the rank at Serial Number 10 continues to Serial Number 11 or to Serial Number 12 or so on, all such rank holders) of the Merit lists of Intermediate (IPC)/ Intermediate Examination held in May/November each year are rewarded Merit Scholarship of Rs. 2000/- per month. Rank possessors of Intermediate (IPC)/ Intermediate registered for Final Course will get Scholarship for 30 months maximum or the remaining period of their ICAI Scholarship for articleship whichever is less. Hence they are not required to apply.

ICAI Merit-cum-Need-Based Scholarship

All candidates (apart from covered under Merit Scholarship) whose names exist in the Merit list of Rank holders of the Intermediate (IPC)/ Intermediate Examination and their parent’s total income is not more than Rs.2,50,000 per annum are qualified to apply for compensation of Merit-cum-Need scholarship. The candidates who would be chosen for a reward of scholarship falling in this category will be granted at Rs. 1500 per month for a maximum period of 30 months or the remaining duration of articleship whichever is less on being enrolled for Final Course.

Need-Based and Weaker Sections ICAI Scholarship

Candidates of Intermediate (IPC)/ Intermediate and Final Course are qualified to appeal for a reward of Need-based Scholarships. The annual income of their parents should not be more than Rs.2,00,000 per annum. The candidates who would be chosen for the reward of the scholarship will be given at Rs. 1250 per month for 18 months to Intermediate (IPC)/ Intermediate students and for a maximum period of 30 months or remaining duration of articleship whichever is less to Final candidates.

A total of 1000 scholarships are rewarded to candidates each year under this category: 600 for Intermediate (IPC)/ Intermediate and 400 for Final Course. Two scholarships are held each year for physically disabled candidates. For SC/ST/OBC class candidates, an additional price of Rs.100 per month will be paid on the assent of a certificate/ documentary evidence duly attested by a member of the Institute.

While choosing candidates the execution of their CPT/Foundation/ Graduation / Intermediate (IPC)/ Intermediate, as well as parents’ income is taken into concern. Physically disabled candidates or those who do not have any earning person in their family are given preference.

Over and above the whole of scholarships under this section, the children undergoing Intermediate (IPC)/ Intermediate or Final Course of the deceased members of ICAI where financial assistance is given to spouses of the deceased members from the Chartered Accountants Benevolent Fund (CABF) shall also be qualified for the scholarship.

SJVN Scholarship 2020: SJVN, a Mini Ratna and Schedule ‘A’ Central Govt. Public Sector Undertaking has been implementing its Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable plans to make a meaningful contribution towards sustainable socio-economic development of communities. In this series, SJVN has originated “SJVN SILVER JUBILEE MERIT SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME” for the worthy students who have passed class 12th Examinations in 2019 which points at teaching competitive spirit among students and to develop their academic capacity. The Scheme is being implemented through HIMCON on behalf of the SJVN Foundation.

SJVN Scholarship Eligibility

  • The students who have secured minimum 60% or its equivalent grade in 12th class examination in any discipline from a school under State Education Board, CBSE or ICSE in the immediately preceding academic session in the States of Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Bihar, Maharashtra and Gujrat. Eligibility for a percentage of marks for BPL will be 50% and for PWD pass marks.
  • There will be no domicile restriction for the students for eligibility for the scheme.

SJVN Scholarship Merit List

In the states of Uttarakhand, Bihar and Maharashtra the first 50% seats will be reserved for the students studying in the schools situated under the Project Affected Area (PAA) villages. SJVN Scholarship Rewards

  • 150 students will be awarded a scholarship of Rs. 2000/- (Rs. two thousands only) per month for pursuing the regular course for the whole duration of next higher course after class 12th like bachelors degree in Engineering, Medical, Arts/ Science/ Commerce/ Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Veterinary/ Business Administration/ Computer Applications/ LLB (5 years course)/ CA, etc.
  • In the states of Bihar, Maharashtra, Uttrakhand and Gujrat, the first 50% seats will be earmarked for the students studying in the schools situated under Project Affected Area (PAA) villages and then rest 50% for the district in which the Project is established. However, the vacant seats in one category will be considered for the other category.
  • The list of PAA villages will be provided by the respective projects to the implementing agency.

SJVN Scholarship Online Registration – How to Apply?

  • The SJVN Scholarship Application form can be downloaded from the SJVN website or from the outsourced agency’s website or can be obtained from other sources also as notified in newspapers.
  • The filled-in application should be accompanied by a photograph of the student and mark sheet of Class 12th examination.
  • The duly filled in application should be attested by the Principal of the school/ institute from which the student is pursuing a higher course after passing the 12th class.
  • The filled-in application must be submitted/ sent to SJVN or the outsourced agency by the last date as notified. No application will be accepted after the last date under any circumstances.

Documents Required for SJVN Scholarship

The duly filled in SJVN Scholarship application form should be submitted along with the following documents:

  • Affixed by two passport size photographs of the student
  • Attested Class 12 Marksheet
  • BPL and PWD certificate (if applicable)

SJVN Scholarship Selection Procedure

Duly filled application forms will be screened by the agency engaged by SJVN. The committee/ agency will shortlist the candidates on the following criteria:

  • Rank secured by the student with respect to marks or equivalent grade secured in class 12th Board Examination.
  • In the case of a tie of the ranking, the candidate of higher age will be preferred.
  • The shortlisted candidates will be called for the screening with all original academic certificates and testimonials.
  • Mere submission of the application will not guarantee eligibility for the scholarship.
  • SJVN will have the power to accept or refuse the candidature of any applicant at any stage without specifying reasons.
  • If sufficient applications are not received in a particular board/ category then the vacant seats can be filled by other boards with the approval of Chairman SJVN Foundation.

Release of SJVN Scholarship

The scholarship will be provided annually subject to the passing of the previous year/ session examination successfully. The scholarship will be terminated for the succeeding year/session if a student fails in the examination or pass the exam through the supplementary exam. The student will be asked to submit a designated requisition form for a scholarship for the discharge of the scholarship. The first installment of scholarship to the students will be provided on some special occasions like SJVN Raising day, Republic day, Teachers’ day, etc.

Definition of Project Affected Area

Project Affected Area indicates declaration by the Appropriate Government of an area of villages or region under a plan for which the land is being procured under Land Acquisition Act, 1894 or any other Act in force or a region that comes under submergence due to enclosing of water in the storage of the project or area located over the underground component of the project. It also involves areas as reported by project authority. The system for measuring the project-affected zone shall be Panchayat.

What is SJVN Scholarship?

Answer:
SJVN Silver Jubilee Merit Scholarship Scheme 2019 is for the exemplary students who have qualified Class 12th Examinations in 2019. The scheme aims at implanting the competitive spirit amongst the students and to foster their academic talent

Question 2.
Who is granting this scholarship?

Answer:
SJVN Merit Scholarship Scheme is being implemented through HIMCON on the behalf of SJVN Foundation.

Question 3.
Who is eligible for SJVN Scholarship?

Answer:
The students of Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Gujarat and Maharashtra who have passed their Class 12 in any discipline from a school under the State Education Board or Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE Board) or ICSE Board with 60% marks are fit to apply for the SJVN Scholarship 2019.

Question 4.
What is the reward amount given under SJVN Scholarship?

Answer:
A total of 150 students will be awarded a scholarship of Rs. 2000 per month for the whole term of the regular program after class 12.

  • For the 3-year course, Total Scholarship Amount = Rs. 72,000
  • For the 4-year course, Total Scholarship Amount = Rs. 96,000
  • For the 5-year course, Total Scholarship Amount = Rs. 1,20,000
